- Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of purpose that I welcome you all to the opening ceremony of the FAME Bootcamp, an initiative of Mofolorunso Awomolo Foundation (MAF) designed to nurture, empower, and accelerate the entrepreneurial journeys of Ijesa youths
Today marks the beginning of what we hope will be a transformational experience—one that goes beyond business education to spark innovation, build resilience, and foster sustainable growth. As Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MAF, I am proud to witness this vision coming to life, and even more thrilled by the quality and enthusiasm of the 30 bootcamp participants who have been carefully selected for this phase.
The FAME Project was conceived not just as a training program, but as a strategic intervention—a bridge connecting talent with opportunity, ideas with resources, and passion with purpose. At a time when youth unemployment and economic instability continue to challenge our development goals, we believe it is critical to equip the next generation of entrepreneurs with the tools to not only survive but thrive—and to become job creators rather than job seekers.
In the days ahead, participants will engage in intensive training sessions covering key areas such as business planning, marketing, financial management, innovation, and leadership. They will be mentored, challenged, and thoroughly equipped to transform their ideas into viable ventures.
This Bootcamp is designed to help you conceptualise and crystallise your business idea. Following this bootcamp, you will be invited to a Business Pitch event in October 2025, where only the top 10 participants will emerge as grant winners.
Let me express our profound appreciation to our partner-Ilesa Business School and the entire MAF implementation team for their tireless efforts in putting this together. I also thank all stakeholders—public and private—who continue to support this mission
